GAIA DE MEGNI
EN – Gaia De Megni presents a series of urban acts happening without a prior communication and through a random audience of passers-by in the neighborhood of Porta Venezia, around the building where Ludoteca is based.
The intervention also consists of a series of shots made during the performing acts and of the three sculptural works part of the performance itself set up in the room as an ongoing process.
The intention of the project is hidden into a series of live acts carried out by the artist without the involvement of the public to bring back the attention to the concept of 'theatricality' in the live performances.
The sentences – engraved on the bluestone – are deduced from twenty-one cinematic 'farewells' to give a look at the representation of the human in the contemporary world.
IT – Gaia De Megni presenta una serie di atti urbani che hanno preso forma senza comunicazione preventiva e con un pubblico casuale di passanti nel quartiere di Porta Venezia, intorno al palazzo dove è collocato l'appartamento che ospita Ludoteca.
L'intervento si compone inoltre di una serie di scatti elaborati durante gli atti e delle tre opere scultoree parte della performance che sono state allestite nella sala come testimonianza di un processo avvenuto e ancora in corso. Il progetto appartiene a una serie di interventi su cui l'artista orienta la sua ricerca senza il coinvolgimento del pubblico per riportare l'attenzione sul concetto di 'teatralità' della performance.
Le frasi incise sull'ardesia, materiale di provenienza ligure e luogo d'origine dell'artista, sono estrapolate da ventuno 'addii' cinematografici per volgere un ulteriore sguardo alla rappresentazione dell'individuo nella contemporaneità.
